A 25-year veteran of the 92nd Street Y, Sol Adler has been executive director since June of 1988. Over the course of his tenure, he has increased the organization's budget to $42 million from $15 million, initiated the Y's first strategic planning process, raised over $80 million through two capital campaigns and $2.3 million through the Y's first corporate gala, launched the Y's foray into e-commerce and satellite broadcasting, and merged the organization with Makor, a young Jewish cultural program on Manhattan's West Side created by financier Michael Steinhardt.

Over the last 25 years, associate executive director Helaine Geismar Katz has created many of the 92nd Street Y's trademark programs. These include the famous lecture series, the groundbreaking Parenting Center, the Special Needs program for adults and children, the 14 summer camps, the vast walking tour program, and the singles and personal growth activities. Under Mrs. Katz's direction and along with the Y's educational, performing arts, fitness, health, and other social and family programs, these programs serve 300,000 children, young people and adults every year.

As associate executive director for finance and administration at the 92nd Street Y, Greg J. Brooks oversees the offices of Finance, Facilities and Real Estate, and Information Technology of the internationally known cultural and community center. Before joining the 92nd Street Y in the winter of 2006, Mr. Brooks held the position of deputy comptroller for policy, audit, accountancy and contracts for the City of New York. He also served as the comptroller's representative to the New York City Audit Committee and as a Board member of the New York City Financial Information Services Agency.
